Neemrana Fort-Palace is India's oldest heritage resort. It is also Rajasthan's
closest palace from New Delhi, situated at 122 kms. on the Delhi-Jaipur highway
- only 100 kms from Delhi's international airport. Sited on a majestic plateau,
concealed in a horseshoe formation of the billion-year-old Aravalli ranges,
Neemrana became the third capital of the descendants of Prithviraj Chauhan III,
who was killed in battle by Mohammad Ghori in 1192 AD. This picturesque site was
chosen by Raja Rajdeo and Neemrana derived its name from a brave local chieftain
Nimola Meo, who when defeated by the Chauhans, pleaded that his name be given to
his lost kingdom.

of doubles, suites and deluxe suites in the four palace wings. Each room has its
own unique character and history. On the basis of theme the rooms have been
named as the Malabar room, Barsat Mahal, Chandra Mahal, Mata Mahal, Surya Mahal,
Gopi Mahal and the Sheesh Mahal. The furniture and the furnishings in the rooms
reveal a fusion of the traditional Indian style with the colonial comfort. The
Francisi Mahal is a French colonial suite with study and verandah. The rooms,
their terraces and private balconies have been constructed in a fashion to have
the gorgeous views of the greens. No words can do justice to the gift of nature
like the Neemrana. You will agree with this after a look at the hanging gardens.

You may drop in at the different restaurants to treat your taste buds with the
Rajasthani and the French cuisines. Thai food too is available is abundance at
the Heritage Hotel. Even the Italian cuisine is served. You just take your pick.
For breakfast you may check out the Raj Mahal and the Hawa Mahal. For the lovely
lunch and the sumptuous dinner be at the Aam Khas, Panch Mahal, Amaltasse,
Aranya Mahal or the Holi Kund. Though for those in between times feast at the
snacks available at the Hawa Mahal and the Maha Burj. At the Kitsch-Pitsch of
the Maha Burj try out the desert-spiced thali for an out of the world
experience. The well stocked bar is another popular hang out.
