Munnar Hill Station-Kerala
Munnar is a magical Indian tourist destination with a
perfect amalgam of gorgeous greenery, lovely lakes, reservoirs,
forests and tea estates. The hill station is situated at the
backdrop of three mountain streams, Mudrapuzha, nallathanni and
kundala. Munnar hill station has been the summer resort of the
colonial British government in south India. You can enjoy the

Places to see
Pothamedu : Situated
around six kms from the city, Pothamedu is one of the major
plantation hubs of Munnar. One can find the views of coffee,
tea and cardamom plantations excellent from here. It is also an
ideal place for trekking and hiking.
Pallivasal : It has the distinction of being home to the
first hydropower project in Kerala. The place has immense
scenic beauty, Pallivasal is situated around 8 km from Munnar.
Attukal : You can truly rejuvenate yourself with the
sight of panoramic waterfalls and rolling hills. It is an ideal
place for long trekking.
Devikulam : An idyllic hill station, near Munnar,
Devikulam is an exceptional experience among exotic flora and
fauna, cool mountain air, and velvet lawns. The Sita Devi Lake
situated here is an ideal picnic spot with its picturesque
surroundings, mineral water, and trout-fishing facilities.

By Air : The nearest airport to
Munnar is at Kochi, at a distance of 130 km. It can be accessed by the local
modes of road transport available from Munnar town.
By Rail : The nearest railhead from Munnar is at Kochi.
By Road : Munnar is accessible by road from most of the towns in
Kerala. It can also be reached from Madurai and Coimbatore.
